AI Infrastructure Engineer
We are looking for an AI Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate the systems that enable deployment of AI models in real-world energy and mobility environments. This role focuses on scalability, reliability, and production readiness.
About the position
You will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports AI systems — from data pipelines and model deployment to orchestration and monitoring. The role sits at the intersection of machine learning, cloud architecture, and system engineering.
You will work closely with research and engineering teams to ensure that AI models are deployed as secure, scalable, and reliable systems in operational environments.
Job responsibilities
- Design and maintain infrastructure for deploying machine learning models in production
- Build and manage data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage
- Implement MLOps practices for model versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Develop APIs and services for integrating AI systems into external platforms
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance
- Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers on deployment strategies
- Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for efficiency and cost
Requirements
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of backend systems and API development
- Experience with data pipelines and distributed systems
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to system reliability
Nice to have
- Experience deploying AI systems in production environments
- Knowledge of time-series or real-time data systems
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with energy systems, IoT, or mobility platforms
- Exposure to security and compliance in regulated environments
